It's a brilliant size. I did reinforce it with mesh on the inside and on the underside of the floor to prevent chewing through the wood. As mine is for gerbils I also left the smaller level out and just put the one big one at the top to allow for deep bedding for burrowing. They love it. Easy to put together took 5 mins. Absolutely 💯 over those tiny plastic cages.

Bought this for our hamster. The size and layout are fantastic. Just as previous reviews said, it is not the best quality. I screwed the drawer on to help with stability. You really dont need the drawer since hamsters need a lot if bedding. I also had to reinforce all sides with additional screws. We had extra 1 inch by 1/2 inch scrap that I screwed in along the seam where drawer and wall met because there was a decent gap. This worked well and closed all gaps. The hut was difficult to screw

Great product you my Syrian especially with the discount on first order. Nothing damaged. Easy to put together. Make sure you put the back on the right way otherwise you’ll have a gap at the bottom

Easy to build its absolutely massive come with a lil stand for the too 2 levels draw underneath plastic windows length is just a little smaller then a couple bed and height is same

If you’re thinking of buying this, do it! I was really on the fence at the beginning, however I’m so glad I trusted my instincts and went ahead because it’s awesome.So much space and it looks lovely too. Great value for money.It’s not perfect - there is a gap at the back, however we used the top shelf to cover the gap up and attach the base to the unit. We aren’t using the top shelf further up as we don’t our hamster to fall and hurt himself. There aren’t pre-drilled holes but this was easy enough to navigate myself and the only other drawback is there isn’t a latch for the top of the cage, so we will be adding our own.However- if you’re looking for a nice roomy cage that looks good too then this is great.PS - we know we don’t have enough bedding in the cage in the picture, we ran out and needed to go buy more!
