Thin steel, poorly made. If you need a budget chest that needs to be moved around then look elsewhere. But if you don't need to wheel it around it'll do for basic storage

so to start the good
it is solid for home garage use which is what i bought it for. and if you want better you'll have to pay alot more
it has alot off room to offer and practical three times the space off what it''s replacing bare in mind there was only £40 or so diffrence and the old one was bough over 4 years ago
the wheels are good on this thing if your on a smooth floor this thing will roll with ease and two wheels can be locked so it does not wonder off
it is well packed i did read some reviews that stated the opposite but from what i got it was well packed dilvery was perfect i got message from currier informing me off a one hour time slot for delivery and it was on time and on the specified date
the overal product when put tegether locked very good
so hear are some thing you might want to know, not really bad but still need to know
you'll need to know what you are doing to put this thing together as the instructions are not very clear to the point it was a good thing i did not need them other wise it would be a diffrent review.
the mid section is NOT like another box or compartment at first i though it was missed untill i foung parts in chests draws and the other steel sheets, it is basically three sheets off steel two that are the sides have boxed section steel for strengh and the sliding door, they are literally scwered and bolted to the cabinet and then the chest is bolted to make the top, THIS i think is important to know in case you like to take the chest and not the rest to a location as with this set you can't the hole thing is not separatable good thing not an issue for me but as for many others this is a need to know and should be stated.
also the key locking mechanisem to be fare is crap again good thing not an issue for me but others may need to know, the only part that can be locked is the chest the two other areas are not lockable at all, the locking mechanisem on the chest requires you to have the top open to unlock the drawers and down to lock but put drawers in first before closing lid and they would do very little to detter someone who wanted whats inside.
all in all for what you pay it is really good set and as long as the bad bits are not bad for you then it'll most likely serve you well, but if you want better you will be paying alot more

Once I finished assembling it, I'm pleased with the result. Looks great.
Packaging was very good, but when it arrives, the top unit is stored inside the base-unit (as per one of the images above) and the instructions and other parts were in the drawers. I initially thought I'd been sent a floor cabinet only, in error! :o)
However, as per the headline, the instructions could have been better and assembly could be easier.
The parts-list is helpful and the instructions start out well enough, but after a while details are not shown such as what screws, nuts & bolts to use when and where.
For future purchasers, here's a few notes that might help you:
The castors were snug! I had to 'persuade' 2 of them into place using a small hammer, a short length of wood and some fairly light taps.
There are two sizes of self-tapping screw that at a quick glance look almost identical (FWIW, I see no real need for the different sizes). The smaller ones are for the side-panel. The larger ones for attaching the side walls of the mid-section to the base. These were tough to get started. Ensure you have just the right size of screwdriver blade. I also found a dab of oil on the tip of the screw-threads helped. Do this slowly and carefully - a short ratchet screwdriver helps, there are a number of sharp(ish) edges nearby. Once the thread is cut (self-tapped), it becomes quite easy to tighten.
The back-panel sits inside the back edge of the base unit and is fitted using the nuts & bolts.
You use bolts only to attach the top-unit to the mid-section. The spaces for these are quite tight, so again, a good fitting screwdriver used early, is a great help.
Once assembled, I put less-often used heavier power-tools in the base to act as ballast.
The castors seem okay on a fairly smooth garage floor, but I may 'upgrade' them so that they may move better/more easily on the tarmac.

Made with light-weight steel and a bit fiddly to assemble. However, excellent value for what it it.

Good value sturdy tool box. I assembled it single handedly without too much difficulty & it fits all of my household tools. My only complaint is I put the wheels in the wrong order as it wasn't clear in the instructions that 2 are locking wheels but it doesn't affect its use
