It works. The controls are not very complicated. If all you want to do is run the dehumidifier continuously then setting the target humidity is straightforward and after that, the controls can be ignored.
The unit is far from silent but it is not unreasonably noisy. When the compressor starts and stops, the clunking is minimal. Like many things with "digital" controls the machine has an ill-conceived, mostly useless, and generally irritating beep. Apparently the manufacturer thinks that we'd like to be awoken in the middle of the night when the water tank fills. Fortunately for me, I use the continuous-drain facility so the tank doesn't ever fill. In other circumstances I'd probably dismantle the unit to remover the beeper.
The continuous drain facility works but you might want or need to find a way to extend the hose; the one supplied is very short. If the continuous drain is not being used then the tank will fill and need to be emptied manually.
The unit came with instructions that include a graph showing what sort of water extraction performance can be expected at different ambient temperatures and different ambient humidity levels. I haven't attempted to verify this information but I think the manufacturer deserves credit for supplying it openly, and not just brandishing the single 12 litres-per-day figure around. In short, in a typical UK situation you can expect this machine to extract two to three litres per day. The 12-litres per day will only be attained in a situation that is as warm and humid as somewhere by the coast in the sub-tropics or tropics, and only with continuous drainage or with six water-tank-emptying operations, by hand, per day.
Somewhat subjectively, I'd say that this machine performs less well than an older machine that I have, and that is also rated at "12-litres-per-day". In comparable conditions the older machine extracts about 30% more water per day than this one does so I'd say that this machine performs adequately and not remarkably.
The unit is quite compact; and hence is relatively easy to tuck into small areas. The handle folds flat. It rolls around freely enough on its wheels. It could be amounted atop something quite easily, to raise the drain pipe to the level of existing building plumbing, or just because you want it off the floor.
Bottom line:
I don't hate it, and it does what it is supposed to do. I'd certainly consider buying another, but since I perceive that it performs less well than another similarly specified unit that I possess, I'd also consider other options.

Bought this for upstairs as we don't use most of the rooms and don't heat them. It keeps the humidity down but also raises the temperature by a couple of degrees so win win.

Quality and size is good. A bit noisy but you do tend to stop hearing it after regular use if you know what i mean. Value for the price. Glad my mrs pushed me to buy it.
